At Durrants, we recognise our responsibility to preserve the environment for future generations and although not a major consumer of the Earth's natural resources, we are committed to seeking new opportunities to reduce the negative environmental impact of our operations.
In addition to complying with all relevant legislation and regulations, we have developed a strong environmental policy to reflect our commitment.
Recycling: We now use 100% recycled paper throughout the organisation. We operate a stringent paper recycling policy. We also recycle all newspapers, magazines and other office products such as paper and plastic cups, cans and toner cartridges.
Energy Efficiency: Durrants manage water and electricity usage. We ensure, where possible, all lights, computers and machinery are switched off when the office closes.
Staff: We strive to promote environmental awareness at the office. We do not provide company cars, and employees are encouraged to use public transport when visiting clients. In addition we have an area to store bikes safely at the office, encouraging staff to cycle to work.
Suppliers: Where possible, we endeavour to select suppliers of goods and services to Durrants that also follow best environmental practice.
