Our Team

John Moore, Chairman
John Moore

John has joined Durrants after a ten year career at Dell Inc. Most recently he was the Vice President of Regional Businesses and was responsible for a portfolio of Dell's direct operations as well as the Emerging Markets business where the company operates through an indirect distribution network. The direct operations included Switzerland, Ireland, South Africa, Poland, Czech Republic, Finland and Greece. His early years with the company were as the Vice President Finance for Commercial Operations across EMEA. Prior to Dell John held a variety of positions within the consumer products industry in Europe, including roles with Pepsi and Quaker Oats. He also had several successful years as a strategy consultant with Booz Allen and Hamilton in New York. John graduated with a Commerce degree from University College Dublin and he followed on to Boston College where he obtained an MBA.

 
Jeremy Thompson, Managing Director
Jeremy Thompson

Jeremy became Managing Director in 2006 after Durrants was acquired by management and Exponent Private Equity. Jeremy began his career in publishing and held a number of roles in sales, marketing and product development at The Thomson Corporation and United Business Media before moving into the media monitoring sector in 2001. Prior to joining Durrants, Jeremy ran the operations of the news division of Xtreme Information. He worked closely with the Deloitte mergers advisory team to lead the integration of Durrants and Xtreme News in 2004.

 
Simon Fathers, Product Development Director
Simon Fathers

Simon joined Durrants in 2001 from the Thomson Corporation. Previously at Churchill Livingstone and Sweet & Maxwell, he has 20 years' experience of product development in media and professional (legal, medical, business) publishing. For the last 11 years he has specialised in transforming hard copy formats into successful web-delivered services. Simon trained as a solicitor after graduating in law from Sheffield University.

 
Kerry Jenkins, Finance Director
Kerry Jenkins

Kerry joined Durrants in October 2007 from Dell Inc where he held a number of senior roles over a period of 11 years including Finance Director of EMEA Regional Businesses and EMEA Planning Director. He has extensive experience of business partnering with country management teams, supporting significant Revenue growth and improved profitability. Prior to Dell, he had a long career with ICL Ltd, where he was involved in a number of pre and post acquisition activities in Europe and the USA. Kerry is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

 
Charles Mayer, Director of New Business
Charles Mayer

After graduating in Commercial Management from Nottingham University Charles joined training schemes with McNicolas Plc and then Rentokil Initial before joining Clipserver.com as Sales Director. Clipserver pioneered electronic and web based media monitoring solutions listing on AIM and establishing offices in Paris and New York before being acquired by Xtreme News in 2002 and subsequently Durrants in 2005, during these integration periods Charles managed client relationship and communication.

 
Gordon Young – Chief Information Officer

Gordon joined Durrants in 2009 to head up the company’s growing technology department and the integration of Durrants, Metrica and Gorkana’s systems. Gordon has extensive experience of delivering large scale international programmes through his work at global blue chip organisations, including Scottish & Newcastle and Diageo. While at Diageo he was responsible for the implementation of their global SAP infrastructure.

 
Richard Bagnall – Managing Director, Metrica
Richard Bagnall

With more than 18 years’ PR industry experience, Metrica’s Managing Director, Richard Bagnall, has proven expertise in the fields of media analysis and PR planning. Since joining the company in 1996, Richard has played a key role in building Metrica’s award-winning reputation as a world leader in media evaluation. Before Metrica, Richard worked for Saatchi & Saatchi’s PR specialists, The Rowland Company, and in-house at the Royal College for General Practitioners.

 
Paul Hender – Media Evaluation Director

Metrica’s Media Analysis Director, Paul Hender, joined the company over 12 years ago. He has been pivotal to Metrica's award-winning success with industry defining media analysis systems, including Metrica’s unique reach and frequency analysis and our flexible and robust web-based tools. His techniques have allowed genuine mapping of media coverage outputs to out-takes and out-comes such as sales, and helped globally recognised organisations such as eBay, Nissan, BT, Aviva, and Dell to improve the effectiveness of their communication operations.
